Minimum age

Sailing licence
The skipper must have had a skipper’s ticket for machine operated craft in inland waters for at least 1 year.
Rental
For calculating the rental, the tariff given by the chartering company applies. Should the term of rental be subsequently extended, the chartering company is to be informed of this in good time. If return is delayed, 200.00 Swiss Francs (140.00 euros) is charged per hour or part-hour. The charterer is liable for all damages and failures incurred by the chartering company as a result of the delay. If a boat cannot be made available in a timely manner or not at all from unforeseen circumstances, the chartering company refutes every liability for all damages incurred by the charterer. Any commercial use of the rental boat as well as giving a sailing lesson is prohibited.
Rental price
When booking ahead an advance payment of 20% of the total rental is due as booking confirmation. The total rental price is due when taking the boat.
Deposit
When booking or reserving the boat the charterer pays a deposit. The deposit amount is at least the amount of the excess from the contract insurance. The deposit is to be paid when handing over the boat. The deposit is paid back after return of the boat without damage. Damages up to the excess are compensated via the deposit.
Insurance
The boat has comprehensive insurance. The charterer is liable for the specified excess. Furthermore, he is also liable for damages which the insurer refuses (gross negligence, drunkenness etc.). The charterer is obliged to observe the regulations of the Inland Water Transport Act.
General remarks
Breakdowns or faults during the rental period are to be notified, without prompting, to the chartering company immediately (Tel: +41 79 3598189). Repairs are only allowed with the chartering company’s consent. The chartering company reserves the right to check the charterer’s sailing experience during a practice test sail. The charterer confirms that he has checked the condition of the boat when handing over. Office hours: 9 am – 6 pm
Return
After ending the rental term the boat must be returned with completely filled water and fuel tank and cleaned and emptied holding tank.
Cancellation policy
With the transfer of the advance payment the reservation comes into force. 20% of the rental costs are due when cancelling up to four weeks before the beginning of the rental period. When cancelling less than four weeks before the beginning of the rental period the total rental costs are due.
Both parties accept the jurisdiction of the court of Locarno in the case of all arguments.
